Efficacy Study

Professionals at the Center for Education and Research in Safety (CERS) have evaluated the effectiveness of the Safe-T Rider program and confirm that administration of this program does positively change behavior while riding the equipment.

Dr. Louis Malenfant and Dr. Ron Van Houten of CERS undertook a study in malls in Tallahassee, Florida and St. John's, New Brunswick, Canada whereby they studied a group of children for three weeks and noted their riding behavior. The Safe-T Rider program was then implemented in the local schools grades 1 through 6. The children were observed again in the same malls and there was a noticeable improvement in riding behavior among children, and adults--from 25% to 42% improvement.
